The artistic quality of the young guitarist is endorsed by 23 national and 9 international awards, such as the “National Youth Award” which is the highest award that young people in Mexico can receive, delivered by the President of the United Mexican States. He has performed in more than 15 states of Mexico and in various countries such as Italy, Switzerland, Sweden and China, in addition, with various chamber and symphony orchestras in Mexico, Spain and the United States.
His musical style is nourished by the great teachers with whom he has been able to learn and live, such as Leo Brouwer, Pepe Romero, John Williams, Manuel Barrueco and David Russell. He studied his career at the Conservatory of Roses, under the tutelage of Rodrigo Nefthalí, where he was unanimously awarded the “Honorable Mention”. Later in 2019 he carried out the “Master in Classical Guitar Performance” at the University of Alicante, where he was awarded the distinction of “Student Summa Cum Laude”. He also studied the Master of Solo Interpretation at the Katarina Gurska Superior Center under the tutelage of maestro Àlex Garrobé in the city of Madrid.
As part of his musical production, he has two record materials, “Classical Guitar” (2009) and “Guitarrerías” (2015). Likewise, he is a member of the “Cuarteto Curicaueri” and performs various chamber music works. Abel uses Knobloch Strings and plays with guitars built by his parents, Abel García López and Verónica Ayala.
