Airam de Vera Ramos was born in Las Palmas in 1992. At the age of four he already had a great passion for music and, since then, he received his first clarinet lessons. At the age of ten he switched to the guitar and took lessons at the L’Aldea Music School. A few years later he passed the entrance exam for the Conservatory of the Canary Islands. He finished his career under the direction of José María Ramírez with great success, in 2016. With his Final Concert “Cum Laude” the young musician so delighted his audience and examiners that he received a scholarship from the Maphre Foundation, which allowed him to continue his studies abroad. The young Canarian also demonstrated his extraordinary skills in several international competitions. Among others, he won the First Prize of the Fuerteventura International Guitar Competition and the Audience Award of the 19th Finca del Comtat Guitar Competition. Since May 2017, Airam de Vera Ramos has been studying guitar at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf under the direction of Prof. Alexander Ramirez. In addition to his studies he attended courses by Zoran Dukic, Carles Trepat, Joaquín Clerch and Carlos Oramas among others.
