Mabel Millán, of twenty-eight years old, finished her guitar studies at the Superior Conservatory of the Balearic Islands with Pedro Mateo, obtaining her Master Degree with High Honours. She has studied with teachers such as José Luis Rodrigo, Emilio Romero and Gerardo Arriaga.
Likewise, she finished her law studies, graduating in June 2015, at the Complutense University of Madrid. In January 2017, she received the Master Degree in Law Practice Access and the Postgraduate Studies Diploma with Paolo Pegoraro at the Segovia Guitar Academy in Pordenone. She has also received a scholarship from the David Russell Foundation.
She has given masterclasses at the Ciudad de Trujillo International Festival, at the Warsaw International Guitar Festival, at the Universidad Mayor de Santiago de Chile and at the Culiacán International Festival in Mexico.
As a soloist, she made her debut at the age of fifteen, which was followed by a strong concert career, highlighting a tour of more than 30 concerts with Juventudes Musicales de España (Musical Youth Spain), throughout the national territory, accompanied on piano by her sister Celia, and since then she has formed the duo Millán.
She has performed in the most prestigious halls and theatres in Spain such as the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, the Teatro Monumental in Madrid, the Juan March Foundation, the Royal Academy of San Fernando, the Teatro de la Granja de San Ildefonso, the National Library of Catalonia, and the Palau de la Música Catalana, to highlight some of the best known.
Internationally, she has performed at the National Theatre in Oslo, in 2011, and in several festivals like Caroso Festival, in Italy, Warsaw International Festival, Szeged International Festival, in Budapest, London Guitar Festival, North East Guitar Festival, in Newcastle, Tampere Guitar Festival, in Finland, Culiacán International Festival, in Mexico, as well as in prestigious venues in Germany, Holland and Portugal.
She has represented Spain with the embassies of many countries, acting in prestigious venues for illustrious personalities, such as ambassadors from multiple countries, consuls, senior managers, and for the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, in her Palace.
She has performed as a soloist with the Chicano Muñoz Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Universidad Mayor de Chile, the Orquesta de Radio Televisión Española and the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid with which he toured Italy.
In her career she has won 34 awards. Of these, 19 are first-prizes, among which the following stand out:

Catalunya Music Award, consisting in the promotion of her performances through the European Union Broadcasting Network.
In duo with her sister, the pianist Celia Sánchez Millán, with whom she has a long concert history, she has obtained four first-prizes:
1st Prize of the Los Pedroches Chamber Music Competition, (2009)
1st Prize of the Francisco Salzillo Chamber Music Competition (2010)
Award “Absolute Guitar-Saxophone Benidorm International Competition” (2010)
She participated in the recording of an album for Young Talents David Russell Edition. She has given several recitals for RNE (Spanish National Radio) for which she has also recorded a CD. She has two albums, “Mabel Millán Gran Recital”, released by a Mexican record company, that won a Grammy Award in the category of “Best Contemporary Classical Work” and “The Devil’s Caprice”, recorded with Naxos USA.
Currently, she combines her procuratorial career with sporadic concerts and masterclasses, among which, a tour with the Wisconsin Orchestra in the States.
