Second prize winner at the International Guitar Competition Miguel Llobet 2020.
Sara Guerrero was born in Zamora (Spain) in 1997. She took classes with Hugo Geller since she was 12. She finished her studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Navarra (Spain) with Uruguayan master Eduardo Baranzano getting the Extraordinary Prize degree. She studied the Investigation Master for Spanish music performance. Since 9 years old she has been awarded with more than thirty prizes. The most important are: 1st prize in Junior Competition in the 17th International Festival of Guitar “Ciudad de Coria”, Honor Prize for Youth Talents at David Russell’s Competition, Prize-Scholarship “1st Contest for youth musicians 2017” convening by Maria Paula Alonso de Ruiz Marti- nez Fundation, 2o prize in the Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Miguel Llobet (2020). She has debuted like soloist since 11 years old in the main Spanish classical music fes- tivals, and also with some Spanish orchestras, with only 16, she plays the concert for guitar and orchestra Op. 99 by Castelnuovo Tedesco and the 1st Concert in A Major Op. 30 by Mauro Giuliani. She played the premier of two works by David del Puerto: “Trio” and “Three pieces for Soprano and Guitar”, and Romance épico from Carlos Cruz de Castro. Nowadays, she takes part in a chamber music duo “Dúo Melómano” with the soprano Marta Heras.
At 18 years old, she presents her first discography work, named “Saudades y Danzas”, recorded and edited by Fernando Colás with the record label “KP Music”. This year, she did a concert tour in Malasia and Singapore. She has received classes from the greatest guitar masters: David Russell, José Luis Rodrigo, Carles Trepat, Marcin Dylla, Álvaro Pierri, Carlo Marchione, Roland Dyens between others.
She is D’Addario Artist and she plays with Daniel Bernaert’s guitar of 2014.
